Honestly...I think this is one of my best pieces so far!But there is still much room for improvement! Most definitely!

This was a very personal piece, and very pleasurable to do, cuz it is entirely based on the brazilian culture and religions with have such a rich set of characters and images that I had no choice but to at least try my hand with a little illustration. This character is based on one of the most important cultural figure, the old slaves with their knowledge of the spiritual world, their kindness and their humbleness they were called Pretos Velhos, what roughly translate to Old Black Men, but despise the apparently pejorative term they are highly respected and loved as they are normally refereed to as Grampa and Gramma. The reason I decided to portrait him as a frog was to try to better express the mystique wisdom of the Preto Velho, I thought of using a turtle but in my opinion the turtle represents more of a philosophical and educated wisdom while the frog stands for the spiritual kind with all it's mysticism, common in so many different cultures.

Adorei esta obra, principalmente pela forma inusitada que nossa cultura é retratada. Vale ressaltar que como a obra está sob uma licença livre, o observador pode compartilhá-la ou baixá-la, este é um ato que, na minha opinião, merece respeito.

Atenciosamente, ADFENO
Tenha um bom dia.

I love this artwork, mainly because of the unusual way that our culture is portrayed. It is noteworthy that as the work is under a free license, the observer can share and download it, this is an act that, in my opinion, deserves respect.

Best regards, ADFENO
Have a nice day.
